Privacy Policy

This is a plain-language draft provided for transparency during Coach Central’s private launch. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed by a qualified professional before the platform opens to the public.

Coach Central (“we”, “us”) helps coaches plan training sessions, manage rosters and player development, run a schedule, and share with a community. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at coachcentral.football@gmail.com.

Who controls the data

A coach who creates an account is responsible for the player and team information they enter. We act as the service provider that stores and processes it on the coach’s behalf. Where players are minors, the coach confirms they have a parent or guardian’s consent before adding that player’s information (see Children’s data below).

What we collect

  • Account data — your name, email address, and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), plus optional profile details you add (headline, location, bio, coaching credentials).
  • Coaching content you create — teams, rosters, players (including name, position, jersey number, date of birth, and notes), activities, sessions, schedules, tactics boards, and community posts.
  • Player development data — Individual Development Plans, self-evaluations, coach evaluations, ratings, and review notes.
  • Technical data — basic logs and cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

  • To provide and maintain the features you use.
  • To generate AI-assisted development summaries and session suggestions when you request them (see AI processing).
  • To secure the service, prevent abuse, and comply with the law.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

AI processing

When you ask Coach Central to generate a development breakdown or session idea, the relevant content is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce the response. To protect players — many of whom are minors — no player name is sent. Before the content leaves our servers, each player’s name is replaced with an anonymous label (such as “Player A”) and is restored only in the result shown back to you. Anthropic does not train its models on data sent through its API.

Service providers (sub-processors)

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
  • Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
  • Anthropic — AI-generated summaries and suggestions, as described above.

Children’s data

Coach Central is used by coaches who may manage youth players. Players do not create their own accounts. A coach must confirm they have consent from a parent or legal guardian before adding information about a player under 18, including when sharing a self-evaluation link with that player. Where you believe a minor’s data has been added without appropriate consent, contact us at coachcentral.football@gmail.com and we will remove it.

Data retention & sharing links

We keep your data while your account is active. Player self-evaluation links are time-limited and can be revoked by the coach at any time. Public share links you create for sessions or plans remain accessible to anyone who has the link until you remove or revoke them.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. During the private launch, email coachcentral.football@gmail.com and we will action requests promptly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
