In possession What you want to see when your team has the ball. When you build out from the back and the opponent presses you high, how do you want your team to react? You have settled possession against an organized block in their final third. What do you want to see — how do you create and take your chances? How much does keeping the ball matter to you, and what are you willing to risk to play forward? Out of possession How you want to defend when the opponent has it. Where on the pitch do you want to defend, and how aggressively do you want to win the ball back? The opponent is calmly passing along their back line, going nowhere. What do you want your team doing? What does your team absolutely have to protect — the thing you never want to give up? Transitions The first seconds after you win it back — and after you lose it. You lose the ball high in the opponent's half. In the first few seconds, how do you want your team to react? You've just won the ball back in midfield. What's the first thing you want your players thinking? You've lost it and you're exposed on the counter. How do you want your team to respond? Identity, players & context Who you are, who you coach, and what's realistic at your level. In your own words, what do you want your team to look and feel like when you're playing well? What kind of players do you have, and want to develop? Strengths, limitations, age, level. What practical things shape how you can realistically play — training time, competition level, field/format (11v11, 9v9, 7v7)? Build my game model
